Dramatic writing

I was hunting in the woods on my island of Ogygia. Spear in one hand, bow in the other, with a full quiver of arrows on my back. I heard a moan somewhere close by in the woods. I slowly walked, listening for the noise, growing closer and closer. I drew an arrow from my quiver and notched in on my bow. I silently hid behind a tree with the creature on the other side. Quickly, I spun around the tree with my bow at the ready and aimed at what was not a creature, but a man.

The man was a very handsome fellow, yet he looked badly beaten and tired. I offered to take him to my home and heal him. He accepted. I helped him up to his feet and acted as his crutch with him arm around my shoulders. Then, I thought to myself, could this be the man I am destined to be with?

We walked through my front door. I lay him out on the table to tend to his wounds. From what I see right now, he has a twisted ankle and handful of cuts and bruises, but I will look over him more thoroughly. I get my bandages and some special healing cream. I put the healing cream on his cuts and wrap them and his ankle with the bandages. In a few days, he will be completely rested and healed.

I wake up the next morning and prepare a large breakfast for my injured guest and I. It takes me half an hour and I plate the food and take into my guest`s room. He was already awake and trying to get up. I tell him to lay back down before he hurts himself more than he already has. He lays back down and I give him his food. I pull up a chair so I can talk to him. I didn’t get a change to ask him what had happened or even what his name might be.

After a nice meal with this man, I now know what he has been through. The loss of his men, not being about to get home, his escape from the Cyclops` lair, its horrific what this man has gone through. He tells me about his wife at home and he sounds heartbroken. I don’t want him to continue with this quest. Maybe I could convince him to stay here with me. He has lost so much. If he stays here he could start over. We could have a life together, children even. I finally wont be on this island by myself...
